Madhya Pradesh farmers’ agitation LIVE updates: Police arrest Rahul Gandhi ahead of Mandsaur visit
Congressional Vice President Rahul Gandhi was arrested and held in custody before his visit to Mandsaur. According to PTI, Gandhi attempted to cross police barricades to enter Madhya Pradesh. Speaking to media about his arrest, Gandhi said he was wrong. “I just wanted to meet with the farmers, listen to their problems. I have not been given a reason for the arrest and just stopped,” he said on Twitter.
The Congress leader in a previous tweet said that the state government is trying to prevent the satisfaction of families of farmers who lost their lives in the agitation of farmers in the region. Police authorities previously said they will not allow Gandhi to enter the district. “Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will not be allowed to meet with Mandsaur member,” SP, Neemuch, Manoj Kumar Singh. ”

16:50: Interior Minister Rajnath Singh said the Center will not take any action that breaks the faith of the farmers and the common man. He also said there were reports that some people were involved in incitement to violence in Mandsaur. It is expected to report the investigation, he added.
