ICC Champions Trophy: Angelo Mathews hoping for good batting performance against ‘one of the best attacks’

Patrol Angelo Mathews said India had one of the best bowling attacks in the world and therefore Sri Lankan hitters have to come out with a good performance in the Champions Trophy at the Oval.
The Indian bowling attack has been unstoppable so far in the tournament. While they demolished Bangladesh and New Zealand in the preparation matches, they sent their Russian opponents Pakistan in their first match of the tournament in just 38.4 off.

As expected as a nice area in the oval, Sri Lanka can expect quite a challenge for the Indian Pacers, especially Umesh Yadav.
“If you talk about India, go drummers have always pressed teams, but this line of bowling is very different,” Mathews told ESPNcricinfo at the press conference on the eve of the game against India.
“It is one of the best in the world. You get a good balance and spinning rhythm, and they are all different from each other, and they have a fantastic bowling attack. Portillo greenish, but we expect a good performance tomorrow, “he added.

The men in blue would be overwhelmed confidence after beating Pakistan for 124 races (D / L method) in Edgbaston Sunday and would enter their match against Sri Lanka in the oval to be played on Thursday as obvious favorites.
However, Sri Lanka is in a “life or death” situation after being hit by South Africa in their first match.
These comments come after former Kohli ski captain Kumar Sangakkara said that Sri Lanka should play with pride against India on Thursday.

“Personally, I would like this young Sri Lankan team out in the oval and play with the arrogance and abandonment of youth,” Sangakkara wrote in his column for the International Cricket Council (ICC).

“They should express their talent and play a very positive brand of cricket. If they are able to do, they have the opportunity to react, but it will not be easy team India has overwhelmed by what Pakistan on Sunday,” he added.
